Classes Coming up at HUD-Approved Community Housing!!

the next round of classes have been scheduled for soon-to-be homeowners and thoses who want to learn more about financial literacy and the homebuying process. The classes are stand alone and totally FREE, so you can take them in any order. Call 945-1866 to register.

The US Department of Housing and Urban Development has approved New Albany Community Housing as a Housing Counseling Agency. So the FREE classes at the CHDO office will earn homebuyers a certificate that will help gain that bank approval for your first mortgage!

The City of New Albany Redevelopment Commission, National City Bank and Freddie Mac support the series of free credit and homebuyer education classes and credit/budget classes for families to prepare to own their own homes. Deputy Director and Client Services Manager Pat Yense-Woosley is pleased to be able to offer the FREE classes at the new expanded CHDO office at 802 Linden Meadows Court. The classes will teach you the ins and outs of homeownership and will help you manage your finances so you will be ready to become a homeowner. Pat offers the classes at various times (see schedule below) for your convenience. We encourage older children to attend to help get off to a good understanding of how to manage their finances.
